She also frequently performs with her brother, Aaron J. Shay. Their duo show, The Shay & Shay Radio Hour, combines folk songs, storytelling, jokes, sweet sibling harmonies, and just a touch of the occult.
She was also founder, washboard player, and vocalist of the illustrious Seattle street folk band The Mongrel Jews from 2009-2017.
Other People’s Projects
Sarah loves performing with other acts, and has been privileged to provide live washboard and vocals for a variety of artists, including the Nathaniel Johnstone Band, Strangely, Bellow Wing, Molly Lewis, Jason Webley, Eliza Rickman, The Them, and Kids on Fire, as well as serving as music director for Hello Earth Productions.
