What better time to bring back the tradition of reading aloud to each other in the evenings? This is an ongoing series of livestreams where I read aloud from a variety of fiction, from classic literature to ’90s sci-fi. Currently on hiatus, but all past streams are archived for your enjoyment!

Why?

Near the beginning of the 2020 pandemic, I found myself quarantining alone in an unfamiliar space for two months. Desperate for a schedule, something to do, and a connection to the outside world, I started livestreaming myself reading Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice every day on Instagram (the only book I had with me!) It went so well that when I was able to return home, I decided to continue with Emma, but switched to YouTube so the streams could be archived. I continued reading daily more often than not through September of 2020, and have plans to bring the series back in spring of 2021.

How do I listen?

All readings are scheduled and streamed on my YouTube channel, and archived there afterward in playlists. Visit my Upcoming Streams for future scheduled books, and listen to the completed books by visiting the playlists linked below.

Please note: These are not traditional audiobooks! In addition to reading the text, I make comments, joke with my off-camera roommate, and respond to the live chat. Adult language and cat cameos may occur.
